These much older Scopitone reflects the TV of the day. Although film was going through a revolution in France, with the Cinema Verite movement in documentary, this is probably one of the simplest, and possibly dullest proponents of the music video form.
Although, I imagine it didn't cost a lot of money.
I like the song though.
Question: would a modern audience watch this? If not, why not? What is our collective taste like now? What is our audience like now? And is, what we make, heavily dictated by that?
